In the case of the Playboy-related databases, information has also come from these sources:
- Playboy Magazine & related publications
- the Playmates themselves (by interview or online posting)
- Playboy photographers (current & past)
- Attendees of fan conventions (such as the Glamourcon series of events)
- Peggy Wilkins' online database (formerly at the University of Chicago)
- The Playboy Mailing List at Yahoo Groups (aka: PML1) — requires registration
- Mark Tomlonson & the other regular posters at the above PML1
The PML1 serves as a defacto "Peer Review" site for information
about Playboy Playmates and other pictorial posers, the photographers, content,
et. al.
Once it has been hashed-out on the mailing list Peggy, Mark & we will
adjust our databases and postings to conform with the latest "established"
facts. This can sometimes be an incestuous relationship; Wikipedia has
credited us for facts that were originated by Peggy but found in
our site and credited to us in an article. And, Mark has cited us as a more
reliable source for credible information than some other online resources.
And, the "Who's Alive and Who's Dead" website's David Carson is a
frequent correspondent (re: deceased Playboy Playmates).
